RECEPTIONIST

SCOPE

Ensuring exceptional customer service is given to each individual that comes through the center doors including patients and visitors.

DUTIES

  1. Greets patients and introduces them to the new center.
  2. Identifying and addressing visitors need.
  3. Introducing visitors to the appropriate personnel that will assist with their concerns.
  4. Give exceptional customer service to patients by offering beverage, coffee, juice or water, to make them feel comfortable.
  5. Prepare new patient charts.
  6. Organizing charts according to scheduled appointment time.
  7. Process patient payments.
  8. Assisting in calling to confirm appointments.
  9. Ensure the front desk area and lobby are clean and in “white” glove condition at all times.
  10. Answer phones.
  11. Maintain schedule book.
  12. Maintain patient files.
  13. Any other duties assigned by the Office Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  1. Some college courses
  2. Excellent communication of the English language (spoken and written).
  3. Customer service skills.
  4. Understanding of basic office machine: phone, fax, copier and computer.
  5. Organization of time.
  6. Ability to manage multiple responsible under time restraints.
  7. Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Quickbooks.
  8. Basic business math skills.
  9. Conduct work independently with minimal supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Medical office setting.
  2. Temperature controlled environment.
  3. Working with the public.
  4. Work with co-workers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Ability to move around 100% of the time.
  2. Ability to listen and speak 100% of the time.
  3. Ability to type 35% of the time.
  4. Ability to write 85% of the time.

SUMMARY

Receptionist is responsible for a successful Life Style Lift Center.  This includes assisting in the managing of the processes to exceed the patient expectations.
